Alana is an expert host and Costa Rica connoisseur with over a decade of experience living and traveling throughout the country. After relocating for high school, she has made it a tradition to visit 4-5 times a year, exploring the best surf spots, dining experiences, and vibrant local music. As part of her family-owned Grateful Hotel, Alana is dedicated to sharing her deep knowledge of Costa Rica’s hidden gems, from scenic road trips to top-notch tour operators and spas. Her passion for the country ensures that every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience.

Co-Host

Jake is an avid surfer from Maryland who now calls Venice, California home. He owns a surf school and serves as a high school surf coach, sharing his passion for the sport with the next generation. In addition to teaching, Jake actively volunteers with various charity surf organizations, using his love for surfing to give back to the community and inspire others.
